So my dad needs a kidney and im in the process of getting approved for living donation. Problem is when I apply it will be during my gap year and idk if I will be able to maintain 40 hours of activities each week, especially after the donation.

Is it a bad idea to include this in my application as an excuse for maybe taking a "break"? There also is a chance the transplant will get approved right around what would be matriculation time, so im worried schools would see that as a red flag as well.
