Hey guys, I love this subreddit. It’s given me a lot of helpful tips and courage going through this process.

A little background about me— I decided to quit Ozempic in October and begin the steps to get the sleeve done because Ozempic isn’t covered by my insurance. I lost 40 pounds in 6 months on it, though. I really liked it.

I had my pre-op appointment today (surgery scheduled for 5/12) and the surgeon postponed it because I’ve gained 33 of those pounds back since October. He said my abdominal wall needs more time to stretch out to accommodate the weight gain and he wouldn’t have enough space to perform the surgery as I am now. We’re going to reschedule and I’m going to go on a full liquid diet for 2-4 weeks to lose the weight again.

I feel so ashamed and defeated. I’m sort of having second thoughts about the whole thing.

Thanks for letting me get this off my chest. 💕
