Cousin paid all the pending property tax of our house with criminal mindset. What should I do?
Our house is in the name of my grandfather. My father had 2 brothers. Both of them have been deceased.
My cousin has paid all the pending property taxes of our house. He did this with criminal mindset. He has a criminal background.
First of all, I want to understand if the house is under joint ownership then how can he pay all the pending property taxes without written joint approvals from all of us ?
In this case, can I complaint to the municipal officer that the property receipt was generated without the consent from all of us ? Is it a fair ask to the municipal officer to cancel ❌ the bill receipt?
PS- He tried to do this last year with our ancestral shop as well. He paid the pending taxes and generated fake other documents. He then mutated the shop on his mother's name. He declared with fake document that his father was the only son of my grandfather. He may has paid bribe to the circle officer. That's how he was able to transfer the mutation to his mother's name only. He then tried to sell the property. We came to know late about this. We filed a case in DCLR office. It's still going on.
Now he's trying to do the same with the house.
