Should I take a drop or not

I’m really confused about whether I should take a drop year for IPMAT and wanted some honest advice.

The problem is that I discovered IPMAT very late basically after my boards ended. I only studied for around 3 weeks.

My score - 24/21/68

I prepared for clat last year and I am getting a mid nlu but 2 months before giving clat I realised that I am not interested in making a career in law.The reason I am considering ipm seriously is because I genuinely find the curriculum interesting and I like how it exposes students to multiple domains. I feel this is more aligned to my interests than law.

And this is my last year that I can give for an entrance exam.I would have to join a college next year be it an iim or any other college. So now taking a drop for ipmat is a situation of life or death. The one thing that is scaring me the most from taking a drop is the limited number of seats in iims (gen candidate)

So should I consider taking a drop year for IPMAT?

And If I take a drop. How should I prepare?

Should I take an online course or join an offline coaching?

What books or material should I buy for practice?

And I don't have any eca's so is there something that I can do this year which would help me in securing college next year.
