My Ollie on manny pad progress

I mainly spent today working on trying to ollie higher so my back trucks would stop hitting the edge, and today I was able to consistently do that.

I think what helped me was standing more on my toes and really lifting my back foot up more as opposed to what i used to do where I wouldn’t really do anything with it.

It’s something i’ve noticed as i’ve been skating more and more. A lot of the people i sometimes skate with all say how boneless tricks look dumb and those are for people who can’t ollie. Or even when i go into ig comment section and it’s clip of someone doing a boneless ontop of a manny pad or a no comply down something. It’s filled with people saying “Lol u can’t ollie” or “Poser trick”.

I can do all the basic stuff like ollie, heelflips, fs/bs 180 etc, but me personally i find old school tricks (anything grabbing and planting ur foot down) looks so cool and stylish. Anytime i try some kind of no comply variation my friends will just say something like “The hell are u doing?” lol. I actually bought an old school powell board for grab tricks mainly and other stuff because there so much fun.

Just wanted to see what u guys think because i was just curious why certain people feel this way
