How do you charge for hourly payments?
Hi everyone
I just landed a client for hourly writing: articles, landing pages, etc. Up until now, I've always charged per article/landing page/social media post, etc., so I'm not familiar with this approach. Research, brainstorming, and, of course, writing would be included on the hourly recording.
That said, I'm confused about how to bill for other aspects. For example, should I include reading a long-form document outlining the next 6-month approach, my note-taking and ideation stemming from these documents, and liaising with various team members? Everyone's process is different. Some people may not take notes and might just read through the document quickly. I tend to take a "slow" approach, being detailed and steady.
