I am visiting Palm Springs for the first time this week, Wednesday - Saturday. I didn’t realize my visit would be during StageCoach until someone I told about my visit reacted with “prepare for crowds”. Does the PS vibe shift significantly when these big music festivals are happening?
I’ve had chronic migraine and hemicrania continua for over 2 years. At the suggestion of my doctor, I finally decided to pursue short term disability leave to rest and hopefully reach a more manageable baseline after a few months of increased pain. Since I’ve been dealing with this condition for a while now, I’m already taking (or have tried) the bevy of meds and have landed on Botox, Vyepti, Indomethacin, Metformin (for neuroinflammation and blood sugar regulation), tizanidine (muscle relaxant), and triptans/Ubrelvy for rescues. Insurance company (Lincoln) denied the claim and said there was not evidence of being disabled. My doctor and I completed the paperwork as best we could, wrote personal letters, etc. I am getting ready for the appeal and still worried they’re going to tell me I’m not sick enough. What a sad thing to be told, especially after YEARS now of pushing through work while suffering.
Does anyone have experience with this process and know what may have helped in the appeal process?
