I’ve been watching this 60s-inspired show Miss Fisher’s Modern Murder Mysteries, and in basically every episode she’s rocking blue eyeshadow—on the lid and under the eye—with a pretty dramatic wing (sometimes even a subtle double wing).

But somehow it never looks overdone or heavy on her?? It always comes across really clean and effortless.

Whenever I try something similar it either gets muddy or just feels like way too much. Any tips on technique or product choices to keep it this crisp and balanced?

Years ago I watched the Ms Fisher’s Modern Murder Mysteries spinoff because I liked the original so much. I remember not really being into the spinoff and finding it a bit flatter. I’ve watched the original off and on several times over the years and just recently decided to give this spinoff another try and wow I like it so much more now! Peregrine has a nice character arc and the supporting characters, particularly Samuel, are delightful. Its a bit more fun and upbeat than the suave sophistication of the original Fisher series. Yet I’ve been amazed at the complete lack of online presence for it and that it was cancelled after the second season. Anyone else recently tried it with fresh eyes?
