Nails inspired by howl’s moving castle

I started doing nails back in August and knew I wanted to do a HMC set as it’s my favorite movie but I knew I didn’t yet possess the skill to make my vision come to life. I’m super happy how they came out and can’t wait to do more ghibli inspired sets in the future!!

Nails inspired by my favorite movie – Howl’s Moving Castle

Not gonna lie, this set was stress inducing. I started doing my own nails back in August and knew from the jump I wanted to do a set inspired by HMC but also knew I didn’t yet possess the skill set to pull off my vision. I’m pretty happy with how they turned out, this is one of my most intricate sets yet !!

I saw a clip of this movie (or possibly show but I doubt it) on YouTube/tiktok months ago and just recently thought about it again as I was looking for something to watch. It’s an animated film and has the same animation style as modern Disney/pixar films. The person who I believe to be the main character is a little boy. He’s either Asian or white with black, frizzy hair that sticks up straight in every direction. In one of the clips, he was trimming hedges I believe and cut off his finger. There was no blood or gore, just kinda looked like if you were to cut into a piece of clay. He picked it up and stuck it back on like nothing happened. His guardian was at the window and he did this quickly as to not alert her that he has this power. In another scene, while he’s sleeping, his guardian comes into his room and plucks out a piece of his hair as she’s been suspicious of him. She watches the strand of hair come to life and wiggle like a worm back into his head. If I also remember correctly, he was bullied at school and may be a science nerd. I have tried google and ChatGPT to find this movie but have had no luck, and it doesn’t seem to match any of the movies Disney or Pixar has come out with in the past 10 years, although I could be wrong.
