I've got a canon r8 and dropped it while it had an external flash on. Everything seems to be working good except that my hotshoe cover is now crooked. I tried with the flash afterwards, and it only worked when i pushed a little so the contact was good in between the two.

Did some of you have a similar experience and had to send it to canon for repair? How much was it to fix that kind of thing?

I've seen some videos online for that kind of repair, but idk if i want to open my camera that much. I also don't know exactly if it's only the screws that broke/are loose or it's more then that
