Before I started looking into shipping a few boxes of personal belongings from the US to the UK, I assumed the big carriers like FedEx or UPS would just be the default choice. But the more I researched, the more I realised there are quite a few options out there - and the price differences are pretty significant. I came across some smaller services like Meest that seem to offer noticeably lower rates, which genuinely surprised me. I hadn't heard of them before but the numbers looked quite different compared to the household names. Has anyone here actually shipped personal items from the US to the UK and compared prices across different carriers? What did you end up paying, and did the final cost match what was quoted upfront - or did extra fees creep in along the way?
