-- TLDR --
I'm looking for a "relatively fun" HEV crossover or car, or possibly a full-electric car. It doesn't have to be new, but I'd like something new-ish with low miles (<15k) in the $40-45k range.

Currently considering: Lexus UX Hybrid, Audi Q4 e-tron, or Audi e-tron GT

--The details --
I currently have two cars:
2012 Kia Optima SX (184k miles, $1500 trade-in per KBB)
2017 Jaguar F-Type R (33k miles, $40,000 trade-in per KBB - $15,500 remaining on loan = $24,500 net value)

I love the Jaguar, but my life circumstances may be changing in the near future, and I won't have the financial freedom to have an expensive payment ($725/month) for a car that sits in the garage 95% of the time.

Not surprisingly, the Kia is my daily driver, and while it hasn't had any warning signs of catastrophic problems (knock on wood), my partner is strongly suggesting that I replace it. She’s nervous about my 90-mile round-trip commute even though it’s almost entirely cruising on the freeway (only two stoplights on the route).

We live in California, so gas prices are always relatively high compared to the rest of the country. The house we're renting has solar and car charging capabilities, but I don't know if we'll be in this area long-term or not, so I'm hesitant to go full electric and potentially be handcuffed by that in the future.

My partner has a Honda CR-V Hybrid, so we've got the "medium SUV" covered. I'm leaning toward a Hybrid Electric Vehicle and I have been looking at the Lexus UX Hybrid (I know its production is stopping after 2026). But, I wanted to ask if there are other HEV crossovers or cars that I should consider?

I haven't ruled out a full-electric vehicle and, if I go that route, I've been looking closely at the Audi Q4 e-tron or, if I want to splurge a bit more on something more fun, the Audi e-tron GT. Any other full-EVs that would be comparable or better?

I'm clearly still in the "research" and "narrow down" phase, so I'm happy to get any outside, objective opinions and suggestions about the vehicles I mentioned and/or anything else that I should go down the rabbit hole for.
