I want to run a D&D game for my kids (beginners) using the Heroes of the Borderlands Starter Set, but have an Al handle the DM role. I have never played DnD before so I’m no help there.
Ideally it would stick strictly to the physical cards in the box (monsters, items, etc.), so my kids can grab and use them during gameplay (no invented content).
The interface would be voice and use my chatGPT pro subscription.
I tried running this just in the GPT chat but it doesn’t know what cards we have, the monster stats, item cards, maps, etc. it was working ok with frequent corrections and adjustments but then it eventually lost track of where we were in the story.
I feel like this would be a good application for an AI agent with supplemental memory and access to all the card info in the set.
Has anyone found a tool or setup that actually does this reasonably well?
