Hello everyone, we’re two friends looking to join a DnD group after our previous campaign had to stop due to scheduling issues. We’re hoping to find a table with an open spot where we can jump in and keep playing.
A bit about us:
- One of us is fairly new to DnD and currently plays a Druid
- We started with 5e (2024 rules) so that is the version we would prefer but we’re open to other versions or styles
- We tend to enjoy combat quite a bit, but we’re also interested in getting more into roleplay (still learning there as English is not our native language, but we can communicate and are actively looking to improve)
Something we especially enjoy is approaching problems creatively, even using limitations or unconventional ideas, or at least we try to, here is an example from the previous campaign:
There was a town where mimic gold coins had entered circulation. The town’s lich warned the party that the coins had a distinct “mimic smell.” Our idea was to gather the townsfolk, toss coins into the air, and hit them with spells to expose mimics mid-action to the people. At the same time, the Druid would transform into a hound and my familiar into a cat, both with keen smell, to attempt to help identify suspicious coins by scent and suggest the people to filter them out through the Lich. The goal was to create a system to filter out mimic coins and prevent chaos in the town.
We never got to try it because the campaign ended, but that’s the kind of logic we tried to use.
We’re pretty flexible overall when it comes to setting, tone, and playstyle. If your group has space for two players, we’d be happy to join and see if we’re a good fit. ^^
