What if the cosmic web behaves like a larger dynamic network system?

What if the cosmic web behaves like a larger dynamic network system?

• I’ve been reading about the cosmic web and dark matter filaments, and I had a thought about viewing them more like an interconnected “network system” instead of only isolated filaments.

• I called the idea a Dark Filament Network (DFN) as a conceptual interpretation, not a replacement for ΛCDM cosmology or current cosmic web models.

• From what I understand, structure growth is described using:

δ = (ρ - ρ̄) / ρ̄

and gravity distribution through:

∇²Φ = 4πGρ

• My question is: would this idea already be fully covered under existing cosmic web theory, or is there any research related to treating filament connectivity as a larger dynamic network system?

Just an image for understanding.

Thank you for taking your time to read this.

A thought on dark matter filaments as a network structure (DFN)

This is just a personal idea/hypothesis, not proven science.

We already know the universe has a large-scale structure called the cosmic web, where galaxies form along dark matter filaments.

I’m calling an extended version of this idea the Dark Filament Network (DFN).

The basic thought is that these filaments might not just be passive structures, but could behave more like a connected network influencing how galaxies form and move over time.

So instead of thinking of filaments as separate lines, DFN treats them more like a linked system across the universe.

I’m not saying this replaces current models—just trying to look at the same structure from a different angle.

What do you say? Can it be a hypothesis or just a speculative idea?

Just an image for understanding.
