I used to be homeless

How I became homeless was Not due to difficulty at paying the rent. No, it was due instead to some other tenants in the building. Those tenants were illicit drug dealers. And of course there were the addicts. Why I had to leave that place is because those drug addicts stayed up all night long and made a lot of noise so I was unable to sleep. I kept telling them politely to please have consideration for those of us who have to sleep. But they did not cooperate. Even when I spoke to the security guard, he said that I would have to tolerate. When I mentioned the cops to the druggies, they made threats on my life if I reported to the police. So at that point I had to dismiss myself from the residence and became homeless.

Soon I found a homeless shelter that I stayed at. Much to my surprise, I found my stay at the homeless shelter to be fun! Why? Well because I found a Girlfriend for the first time in my life. And I was 55 at that point! Late bloomer! So that stay at the shelter was actually pleasant and fun. One of the highlights of my life. Afterwards in 3 months, a very competent social worker found me an affordable place to rent.

So I was wondering if any of you had previous homeless experiences that were actually beneficial, similar to mine.
