Hey everyone! I'm wondering if anyone is in a similar situation as me. I started the shot last year on May from then up until December. I received a letter in the mail stating my insurance will no longer cover GLP1s at all. I called insurance tried to fight it. But sadly that was the end of my glp1 shot journey.

I ended up having some shots left over luckily I was able to secure one last box till the year ended. So I spaced out my shots between 2 weeks(didn't lose or gain weight) once that ended my doctor suggested the pill. I was all for it since I could pay out of pocket. My pharmacy accepted the savings offer so it's the 149. Not too much of a problem except now I have questions and I hope someone can help or maybe has gone through the same experience. I am seeing my doctor next week so I am gonna ask her as well regarding some things. But I also want to know from expierence!

  1. Has anyone went from a high dosage shot to starter pill and are you also just maintaining weight or losing?

  2. does anyone just take a low dosage just to maintain?
(I might go this route since I don't mind where I left off in weight so I don't want to end up having to pay more/money is a little tight at the moment)

  3. has anyone ever gone off the shots or pill and gain weight?

Also I want to emphasize how much these shots and pills have helped me(if you're thinking about it) I've never felt this normal since I got diagnosed with PCOS. I feel like I have such a healthy relationship with food now. The sugar cravings I used to have are almost non existent and even if I want someone sweet I like to think I learned to portion and when to say no.
It's been such a life changer. I just wish so badly insurances would acknowledge glp1s as something that can help with PCOS 😭

If anyone has similar stories or can answer my question or even if you want me to bring up a question to my doctor. Let me know. 😊
