Poli Sci and Comms Double major (possible minor) is it possible??
Hi everyone!!!
I’m currently a Political Science major freshman, and I am picking classes for the fall and am having a LOT of trouble mostly because I have no idea what I want to do with my life 😭 I am interested in law school, but don’t feel like I am passionate about it enough to go through the process. I really love Political Science and want to keep pursuing the major, but want to add on something else so I can have more experience when it comes to post grad if I end up deciding law isn’t for me. I would be interested in more business and analyst roles after graduation.
Currently I have completed Pols 1, 6, 7. I am taking Econ 1 and 2 at cc most likely over the summer(can someone tell me if this a bad idea too, lol) and 15 in the fall.
I would be interested in doing a Comms double, or the TMP minor because that would give me more experience if I were to enter the prior mentioned fields. I would love to do both, but I’m not sure if I would be able to graduate in time, given that I also want to study abroad fall quarter junior year.
I am not sure if I should start taking Comms classes to see if I am interested. I have heard the pre-major classes are quite boring, but the upper divs seem up my alley.
Also, would it even be possible for me to pursue a double major and minor. I will have 84 units competed at the end of this quarter, and am taking a GE and Econ at cc this summer. Will it be too much to try to have all of these?
If an upperclassman or someone also doing these majors has insight that would be so incredibly helpful. 🙏 I am feeling stressed AF
