What are some solutions for a laptop that only charges when it’s off?

Hi everyone! So recently my HP Victus Laptop has decided to only charge when it is off. I have tried everything (or that’s what it feels like) to fix the issue but nothing has worked.

I’ve tried

- uninstalling Compliant control method battery

- hard resetting the system

- bought a new charger

- cleaning the ac port and charger

- hp support assistant to check battery health

In the end, my battery is fine, the charging cord still works and my laptop only charges when it’s off. I’m hoping that someone might be able to give me other things to try before I have to look into a new ac adapter port.

Is there anything else I might be able to do for looking into new parts?
