How did Nazi Germany’s technological capabilities actually compare to those of the Allies during WWII? Were they genuinely ahead in certain fields, or is this a postwar myth?
The Nazis are often portrayed as being technologically ahead of their time (V-2 rockets, jet aircraft, etc.). How accurate is this reputation, and in which areas were they actually behind the Allies or Soviets?
To what extent was Nazi Germany’s reputation for technological superiority a product of postwar mythmaking versus genuine wartime advantage?
