Getting an american akita puppy, already have an untrained adult pomeranian

My family has been thinking lately on getting an american akita puppy, we already have an adult pomeranian that isn't trained, and I want to make sure we are setting up both dogs properly.

Our current situation, we live in a flat (100 m2) and we walk our pomeranian 3 times a day (30 - 40 minutes walks each) we always go to parks or calm areas far away from busy streets.

The Pomeranian's habits : Generally he is very chill and playful, lets us touch and brush him everywhere... However he has a few bad habits we want to work on before the Akita comes. He mainly does his business on our balcony which we taught him, but occasionally marks inside the house. He barks about 80% of the times when someone leaves home without him (but other times he just keeps sleeping or doesn't care) . And he begs for food at the table (even when he has already eaten) because we've been giving him scraps during meals (we're stopping this before the puppy comes). Since he isn't neutrered he can also get competitive with certain dogs outside. We've also been attacked several times by larger breeds like pitbulls, always ending up with us handing him on our hands and getting bitten ourselves. Not sure if that's relevant, but adding just in case.

My main concern is whether the Akita will pick up these bad habits from the Pomeranian or whether with proper training, exercise and consistency we can raise the Akita independently of the pomeranian behaviour.

We plan on neutering the Akita, but if anyone has experience suggesting it isn't strictly necessary given our situation, Id love to hear about it too. Anythinggg helps.

Any advice is really appreciated!!
