I’m so obsessed with Angert/Nikki shipping these days…. the chemistry between them is INSANE! Here are four reasons why I love them (I didn’t primarily play in English, so there might be some differences of the plot. I write these base on my memory)(Here are some s my poilers ahead):

1. Intellectual attraction (Sapiosexuality?)
   I remember when Nikki met Angert in the Boneyard, he said Nikki’s intellectuality is surprising. He knows Nikki’s experience in Itzanland, so I think he’s obsessed with Nikki’s wisdom…

2. Sense of boundaries
   During the chaos in the Great Lumieville, he was the first one who noticed Nikki was uncomfortable and protected her without touching her. Oh… I have to admit that I felt so amazing about this scene 😭 he sees Nikki as a person who worths respect. He’s such a gentleman…

3. Tsundere!!!
   After Nikki quelled the anomaly, he said “I knew how incredible the "Saintess" was, but I wasn't expecting her to quell the whole anomaly crisis by herself. I'm willing to bet Medael didn't either. You all missed it, but Meghill went quiet, his brows knitted tight and his face as pale as beach sand. He just kept playing his Soul Ocarina, despite not knowing if it'd work...” Then Momo said “Hmph, you're one to talk. I bet you were worried to death too!” Angert responded with “Heh, you're free to speculate, Your Meowliness.”

Aren’t there any one who thinks he TRULY WORRIED about Nikki but DIDN’T WANT TO ADMIT?! He DEFINITELY worried about Nikki!

4. The playful interaction
   (I haven’t finished the main quest. I read this through other places.) They exchanged each other’s Pear-Pal contacts, and Angert sent a message about “perhaps they’ll have the chance to investigate together again in the future” to Nikki. Then Nikki replied that she hoped they would have a “more pleasant” beginning of collaboration next time, and Angert looked pretty “hurt” by Nikki’s words!! He said it’s a pity to hear that and asked Nikki which of their collaboration started unpleasantly? Omg his playfully hurt is so CUTE!!!

(These are just my SUBJECTIVE thoughts, so if you think I read too much into their interpretations, pls leave.) Anyway, I’m fascinated by their chemistry😭!! I have to know whether I’m the only one who ship them. If so, I’ll be VERY sad🥲 umm… actually, Angert/Nikki remind me of Xaden/Violet in Fourth Wing! The height difference, dragon, a powerful man who is fascinated by an intelligent girl… THESE ARE INSANE.
