Job shadowing (student)
Hello,
I need some advice, preferably from radiology techs, leads, or doctors. As a student doing shadowing hours, what are the do’s and don’ts? What kinds of questions should I be asking? I feel like my questions are becoming repetitive.
Also, when my availability changes, should I keep the person in charge updated? I don’t want to come across as annoying or bother anyone. I know I’m not an employee, but I’m so used to working that I think I’ve been treating this like a job. The lady in charge told me I can make my own hours, so I’m unsure how often I should communicate schedule changes. Some days I can come in for 3 hours, some for 6 hours due to my current job. I know that they have other students. So I don’t if it’s a curiosity thing to do, so other students don’t miss out on their hours.
My experience has been great so far, and everyone has been very helpful. I think I may just be overthinking things because I don’t want to make small mistakes that could affect future opportunities. So if anyone could help me out in this field would be very appreciated.
