Hello, I’m asking on behalf of my sister who is a freshman with a learning disability. She’s run into a problem where she has having a hard time typing out her TIMED essays within the time her professors have given her (they gave her an extra hour due to her accommodations). After this semester she’s still having a hard time getting papers done within the time she’s given, whether that be a week or 2 hours per the assignment requirements.

As a college student as well, I’m nearly finished with my bachelors, I’ve helped her as best I can with time management for the longer essays that take a week. Helped her find dedicated time to work on the papers, I’ve even gone and read them over to help her with edits and citations.

There’s not much else I can do with the 1-2 hour essays her professors are assigning. I know the likelihood of the next semester professors giving her timed essays isn’t too big, but I do remember some of my professors in some semesters giving me timed essays on exams. I want her to be comfortable and confident the next time it happens.

Are there any websites that we can use to give her practice for timed essays over the summer or any tips that we can do that can help her speed up and be comfortable and confident with her timed papers that you recommend?

Hello, I’m growing cilantro and live in south Texas. I was wondering if my cilantro is supposed to be looking like jack and the giant beanstalk? It’s pretty small around the base with not much to harvest yet. Yesterday I did a top layer mixing of the soil and now it’s shot up. It’s about 24 inches tall in the middle
