Billie is slowly losing me…
I love Billie, let’s get that clear. Her music and style are incredible. I’ve been a fan ever since 2019.
However…
People think it’s a crime to criticize people that you support, but it’s not my intention to hurt.
The veganism that Billie is promoting is fine alone, but why is it fair to insinuate that people who eat meat are horrible people? Most people eat meat, and that’s majority of her audience. I get what she believes, but I don’t see the reward for doing that.
I get what she means and she’s not wrong, but there’s better ways to get the point across that doesn’t turn people off to Veganism.
Also, She’s been on hot ones. Even if HER wings were vegan, the show alone promotes eating chicken meat. People can just check her past collaborations and connect that they contradict each other.
Like…she hates billionaires but collaborations with Billionaire brands.
Or she uses makeup brands that are not cruelty free (ie. Maybelline)
Truly, I love her work and her as a person. But as a fan, I feel a little puzzled recently.
