I'll go first "When I'm Alone" off 21st century blood.

It just fits how I feel when I am going through a hard time.

I am a first time fantasy writer, I am trying to compose a list of all the over used tropes in this genre (and also over come the this to much like Tolkien hill) so like what are your opinions on this topic here, of example I have tried making the list and so far only have two tropes which are as follows:

1.) The Chosen One who always wins

2.) The Bad guy almost always can never be defeated unless you destroy some artifact or something (Cool but overused, in my opinion)

Can anyone help me out here, it would be greatly appreciated. Also to help you guys help me, my story is a four part high fantasy story with each of the first three books being a different group in a different part of the realm. The end book is all of these groups coming together to fight the almost demi god like champion of death, who commands an army of the undead.

I personally don't like the deep dark horror stuff this franchise is doing now. Like I know in the beginning with The Evil Dead, it was very horror, but Evil Dead 2, Army of Darkness, and Ash vs Evil Dead, painted it in a new light, as fun AND a little scary. I just think we need to go back to that part of the franchise, not necessarily Ash, but something fun and scary.
