Not talking about signal bots or fully automated trading.

I’m thinking more about an AI workflow for discretionary traders.

Example:

You have your own strategy already (market structure, liquidity, session setups, confirmations, etc.).

Instead of staring at charts for hours or second-guessing setups, you take a screenshot of the current market condition and send it into an AI workflow trained around your strategy framework.

The AI reviews the chart and responds with:

• current market bias
• possible setup forming (if any)
• key confirmation points
• potential entry zones
• stop loss placement ideas
• take profit targets
• invalidation points
• reasoning behind the setup

Basically like having a second set of eyes on the chart.

Not to replace your decision-making.

Not to create an edge for you.

But to help you stay aligned with your strategy and catch setups you might overlook.

Of course this only works if you already understand your strategy — the AI can only assist the framework you give it.

I’ve been exploring workflows around this idea and I’m curious:

Would you use something like this as part of your trading process, or do you think it would add too much noise?

Been thinking about this lately.

A lot of traders spend hours on charts, waiting for setups, second-guessing entries, missing confirmations, or entering too early.

What if instead of relying only on indicators, you had an AI trading assistant built around your own strategy?

Not an AI that “trades for you” blindly.

I mean an AI agent that understands your rules.

For example:

  • Your market structure model
  • Your session preference (London/NY/Asia)
  • Your entry confirmations
  • Your invalidation model
  • Your TP/SL framework
  • Your risk management rules

The idea would be:

You first put in the work to actually learn and understand your strategy (this part can’t be skipped).

Then the AI is structured around those exact rules.

Its role would be to:

• Monitor charts and market conditions
• Spot setups based on your strategy
• Identify valid entries and exits
• Explain why the setup is valid
• Show confirmations before taking the trade
• Help maintain discipline and consistency
• Reduce emotional decisions

Basically like having a trading assistant, not a replacement.

I think this could be powerful because a lot of traders already know their edge, but struggle with execution, patience, and consistency.

The AI wouldn’t create the edge.

You create the edge. The AI helps you execute it better.

Would you use a system like this?

Do you think it would improve your trading or create more dependency?

Curious to hear traders’ honest thoughts on this.

And if you’re curious about how something like this would actually work or what it would look like with your strategy. It’s something I’ve been working on lately, so I’d like to hear your thoughts.
