Growing up in the suburbs in the late 90s/early 2000s, I always dreamed of living in the Heights. I want to be where the weirdos are, the creative outliers, the type of people who live and let live. Fast forward to now and I DO live in the Heights, but where did my people go?! This is an actual yuppy nightmare and I’m trying desperately to find the saving grace, which so far has only been the walkability. I feel more drawn to Montrose now, but worry the same thing is happening there?! I’ll be moving as soon as I can, but where should I look to avoid this deep disappointment?
