[Discussion] Why care about Kappa?

I bought the game two weeks before the softcore wipe and my friends are obsessed with getting Kappa after the release. I spent a huge amount of time to learn maps, make easier quests and stuff and now I feel able to do this. I got a Google Sheet from Pestily and based on than, I have 24 more quests to go.

And God, I hate this so much right now. I'm forced to change my gameplay drastically. I have to farm 50 kills (thanks not PMC) with the shit of a gun (rather a scope, but still). I have to make 40 headshot kills at 8 maps with a bolt gun. I have to make 14 more kills from SVDS in a game, where armor is overpowered and marksman sucks (I spent more time on Test Drive 1 then on pt2 and 3 combined).

And now I'm questioning myself, do I really need that container? I want to uninstall the game after another death with my SVDS shoveled into my ass. I really HATE SR-2M and Factory.

Can someone explain me, what is a hype around Kappa? Streamers have quest count for it in the overlay, friends are hyped, overall community is hyped, etc etc. Is it like pre-release "I finished the game"? I have around 200kk in my stash, so I don't even know what to put there, providing I have Arena bag to put my meds, I barely loot anything. I have a few more steps before getting to Terminal and I don't see any meaningful rewards in the uncompleted Kappa quests.
