Doctor who and SNL UK recurring characters/sketches

Now there's a two-part to the this post the first one being I know that they did a Dr Who sketch two weeks ago but I would really hope they do another one this week since Ncuti Gatwa is hosting, or they could do the thing that SNL does which is bring in a host from an earlier ep to do a little Cameo and since him and Aimee Lou Wood were in sex education why not bring her back for a sex education sketch and maybe in in a surprise Cameo Asa Butterfield.

No for the second part of this post I believe Doctor who for them could become a recurring sketch they bring out once in awhile. Since we know they're getting another season I would hope that one thing starts happening is the development of the recurring

Character like: Matt Foley, Chad, Gilly, David S. Pumpkins, and Debbie Downer.

The recurring sketch like: The Californians, The Roxbury Guys, Wayne's World.

I do feel they have something in this category since they did 45 Seconds with George Fouracres twice.

Recurring weekend update characters like: Stefon, Willie, Drunk Uncle, The Girl You Wish You Hadn't Started a Conversation With at a Party, and The Guy Who Just Bought a Boat.

I feel they have the beginnings of recurring characters with the Gen Z correspondents.

One thing the UK has been doing that the US has is with the musical video segments like English pub.

Now the last things I hope the UK does that the US does is the animated segments like: Brad and his dad, Ambiguous Gay Duo, and Mr Bill.

And hopefully they can find their young up-and-coming writers group like how the US had lonely Island and please don't destroy.

Who will be the New Days new 3rd

There's a lot of people are hoping that the new day come to it aew and have that match with the elite people even wanting to see for years, who would be the new days third in that match since Big E is still at WWE. For me these are my top seven pics I feel could work as their third mainly I thought about people that are in the World championship scene or being pushed heavily or have had good matches with Kenny and/or The Bucks.

Edit- this isn't about the New Day forming a new trio this is just them having a third after they've done a tag match with the bucks and Xavier's fought Kenny cuz they need a third so we can see a three on three

Did... did they actually reference that

They they actually did a mention to a fake taxi😳. Just another example how different US TV is from UK television. Also the face she's making is killing me.

Sorry for the rant

I know The Honor Club is good and it's another way for them to get revenue for the wrestling companies, but so many people don't want to have to get another string thing to watch wrestling even if it is fairly price it just all adds up. So to me if Tony wanted to find another streaming home for ROH I feel like these three make the most sense.

Give me prime make sense because so many people have this app because come on who doesn't have Amazon prime nowadays, so I feel this is a good way to get more eyes on your product and even though I don't use it for this I know that it is used outside of America to watch combat sports be it Wrestling, MMA and I think Boxing. I feel you could do this one of two ways it having a weekly Thursday show or Ring of Honor club becomes a subscription service on prime like so many other apps.

I feel peacock wouldn't be too bad this stream service is used to streaming live sports and wrestling I know some people will say they already have a deal with WWE for Smackdown and I believe pay-per-views but really how much longer do you really think that deal will last for until everything just gets put on Netflix along side Raw.

The reason for me Tubi even came up as an option is because someone told me that a WWE has a product on there called Evolve and no other place that WWE stream shows own Tubi so I believe that could make it that WWE couldn't stop them from requiring other wrestling programs to show on their streaming service and another benefit is it is a free streaming service sure you have to sit through a couple commercials but still you don't have to pay for it.

But to me my favorite option for a home for Ring of Honor has to be adult swim because this way Tony Khan still has good relationship with Warner brother by showing something on one of their own channels. And to me this is another reason why Rihanna would fit on adult swim adult swim always felt like this in the alternative animation for adults programming and for a lot of people back in the day Ring of Honor was a pretty important alternative for wrestling.

With Paramount's current acquisition of Warner Bros I know there's been plenty of talks of well what does this mean for AEW. Now hopefully if Paramount and AEW are okay with each other nothing much will change but if AEW will have to find a new home to stream their shows how would you think these two titles names should change.

I really feel there's no need to get rid of these belts just a name change and really I feel only the women's TBS championship would need to change the name because the TNT just fits the whole Dynamite naming of course just change the font of how you spell TNT I believe would be enough.

What about the rest of you AEW fans what kind of names would you give these two belts if they had to change. And please don't say just put television in front of men and women championship cuz that just seems lazy.

I'm asking because I would like to see Graham Norton host SNL UK just because as a US fan I've caught his show on BBC America he's funny and he just seems to be a staple face on British TV and it looks like a lot of people in and outside of the UK enjoy him. Plus they do share a studio

But would him hosting make sense based on how SNL US template they do it by whoever has something actually coming out be it a new movie or album or if they're a big stand comedian or on a current popular TV show. I think the only time in current SNL someone hosted when they didn't have anything coming out was the last time Matt Damon hosted because he even mentioned in his monologue how he didn't have anything to promote.

But when it comes to SNL UK Of the host they've had so far I have no knowledge if they were promoting anything. Is it because it's still so new that they're just getting whoever they can get. Because if that was the case then I could see Graham Norton hosting. And if people are enjoying the first season when it comes back will they then follow the US format of mainly getting hosts that have something coming out to promote. Because if that is the case then I feel it would be harder for a Graham Norton to host since I don't really know if he comes out with much new stuff because I know he host and he has plenty of cameos in things.

Since AEW has a fair amount of WWE people, and I'm playing catch up with aew starting at 2023 and I stopped watching WWE years ago I need to know from people that have kept up with both do a lot of WWE people's moves severely changed once they have left WWE or was it a gradual changes to their fighting style

One thing I'm wondering about if Kofi goes to AEW or someother company how do you think his wrestling would fit. I'm just wondering because I looked at both of their wikis and Xavier did wrestle in TNA and it looks like Japan and the Independence for some years before WWE so he at least know some non WWE style. But it looks like Kofi started training and wrestling for Independence like NWA around 2005 and then in 06 was in WWE developmental, and from there it was just WWE till currently. So I'm just wondering how much would he have to relearn to be able to mesh with other non WWE Styles because as a lot of people like to point out the WWE likes to train so they're guys follow their specific way of wrestling.

And I know some people will say well there's other WWE guys but it seems a lot of them had more time outside of WWE than they did in it. I believe the real example would be Edge and how well he has been able to wrestle in AEW but since I'm actually catching up with AEW I haven't gotten to the point where he comes in so I don't really know how much his style has changed since his WWE days.

I'm a fan of MJF and since he's starting to do more movies, and because he did one with Adam Sandler it got me to thinking maybe Tony should look into seeing if he can host SNL I mean John Cena's done it once and The Rock's done at five times and they've both did good jobs on there. I feel MJ if could have the good comedy timing to be a good host.

And if you agree with me who else on the roster do you feel could host SNL. Me personally I think

Kenny Omega

Max Caster

Adam Copeland with a cameo from Christian

Anthony Bowens

Jericho

Samoa Joe

Toni Storm

Nyla Rose

Mercedes Moné

Edit - embarrassed to say I forgot Harley Cameron

Could all be funny and possibly do a good job as host Plus maybe for one of them they could get Brody's band God's Hate to play as a musical guest

Okay can you UK SNL fans explain to me a US fan what are they referencing in this sketch

Edit-all right guys thank you for letting me know it's the show called Made In Chelsea. And looked it up you can find it on Disney plus here in the US. So is it good trash TV or terrible trash TV.

Also I'll just like to share this the types of people you call posh in the UK in Mexico they're called fresas

I feel this could be a pretty strong stable. All the members are athletic and veteran wrestlers which I feel a lot of them needed to show what they were capable of once they left the WWE. He's got like three solid talkers with MVP, Kofi and Xavier

Edit- I also want to see a black stable. But to me it's more of the fact that they're all EX WWE guys that I feel were underutilized in that company in the last couple of years. Is there also all wrestlers I enjoyed watching before I stopped watching WWE. Plus it's one of the things I like about Mexico and Japan I like the stable stories. Stables versus stables teammates backing each other up, and trying to get gold

As a us fan I was thinking what well-known British comedians, or actors I would like to see host or have a cameo in SNL UK Off of the top of my head I thought of

John Cleeseb and Eric Idle- I mean why wouldn't you want one of the living cast members of one of the UK funniest and classic comedy troop

Rowan Atkinson- I mean he has to be considered British comedy royalty in the UK because of Mr Bean, Blackadder and his two miniseries he did on Netflix Man Vs Bee & Man Vs Baby you're very funny and the Johnny English movies are hilarious

Greg Davies- I've seen one or two of his stand-ups on Netflix thought he was very funny

Stephen Merchant- seen him in plenty of stuff heard his voice and many and animated role or seen him as a minor character think he's a very funny actor

Ricky Gervais- this seems like a give me since Ricky erase has been around for a long time

lan McKellen- don't know any of his comedic roles but I mean come on he is Magneto

Patrick Stewart- he is hilarious on American Dad

Benedict Cumberbatch- he's already shown you can host SNL who's done it twice and I would imagine people in the UK are still fan of his take on Sherlock

Hugh Laurie- I mean who wasn't a fan of House back in the day be they from the US or the UK

Jimmy Carr- personally think he's one of the funniest comedians out of the UK

Simon Pegg and Nick Frost- who isn't a fan of the Cornetto trilogy plus they were in the very funny series spaced.

Then when I remembered about spaced it made me think of what other British comedy series do I know of so these were the ones I remembered off at the top of my head and who I would like to see host or again even a cameo from these series

Ted Lasso- Hannah Waddingham, Brett Goldstein or Jason Sudeikis. This could work because they've announced the fourth season and Jason sudeikis is a beloved SNL us cast member

Little Britain- Matt Lucas or David Walliams

Chewing Gum- Michaela Coel

Ghosts uk- Jim Howick or Simon Farnaby

THE IT CROWD- Matt Berry or Chris O'Dowd

Trying- Esther Smith

The Mighty Boosh- Julian Barratt

Plebs- Joel Fry

Red Dwarf- Chris Barrie or Danny John-Jules

Sex Education- Ncuti Gatwa, Emma Mackey or Asa Butterfield

So what about my fellow US fans and of course UK fans. Off of the top of your head who is the first person that comes to mind that you would want to see host or have a cameo be they actor comedian or just someone from your favorite British series.
