Good evening all.
I currently ride a carrera hellcat hardtail MTB. Its nothing to fancy but I like it and enjoy riding it.
I mainly use it to commute to and from work 4 days a week 6 miles each way, 12mile round trip.
In the last couple of weeks with the weather picking up I've been toying with the idea of following through a idea I always had back when I was a teenager and riding from home all the way to the coast. Roughly a 110mile trip.
I'm aware a road/gravel/hybrid bike would be much more suitable in terms of speed and ease. but I like the more upright style of MTB riding, along with the option to go off-roading if required. I'm not looking to finish in a certain time or anything like that. Just looking to complete a small goal of mine.
How feasible is riding long distances on MTB?
Do people do it often? Or do they mainly just stuck to the usually road/gravel/hybrid bike?
