Have I unknowingly been having seizures for years?

I, a 21-year-old female, was talking to my therapist today and brought up something that occurred last week. Ever since I can remember, I have randomly gotten a feeling of "static in my brain," which is genuinely the best way I can describe it. My brain feels fuzzy, and I can almost see and hear the static. It comes with a terrible feeling of dread, and my thoughts feel incredibly loud and are pretty dark. It's like a wave or a cloud comes over me, and it feels kind of inescapable. It has happened enough that I know I'll come out of it shortly, but it's really scary to me. I can't find a trigger at all; it has happened randomly since I was little, and I remember moving around just trying to get that feeling away. There was one time when I was already sick that the feeling came, and this time it was accompanied by hallucinations. I am not depressed or anxious, and my therapist assured me that she screened me for the signs; there is no sign of mental health issues related to this. She recommended I see a neurologist, suspecting I was having a type of seizure. I have literally never considered this, and figured it was pretty normal, but now I'm freaked out. Has anyone else experienced what I'm describing?
