I'll be sitting a dog one evening for 5 hours. The dog is a regular, elderly, and will likely require only one walk and maybe a potty break or two during that time, plus I expect he'll go to bed part-way through since it'll be past sundown. He is super easy, and I wont be doing a ton in the house except giving plenty of skritches.

I feel it's unfair to charge the owner my same drop-in hourly rate for all 5 hours, so was thinking to just charge the hourly for the first hour, then half or even less than half that per hour for the next 4 hours. Does this sound reasonable? I actually only do drop-ins and walks since I can't do overnights or daycare, so I don't have a rate for those situations (I do this part-time). Thanks in advance!
