So as im playing a naval battle i managed to get 3 enemy brigs to surrender. After a while while i was mopping up the rest of the enemy fleet , those surrendering brigs suddenly sank for no reason. The weather was stormy , there were foaming waves on the sea and i wonder, could small ships in the game just sink after surrendering? they werent that badly damaged too... Something simiar was when i got a ship of mine to suddenly start leaking water after which it promptly sank, is there a way to prevent such a ship from sinking? droping anchor maybe??
