Last XMAS I was taking this watch off, and it slipped and went face down a small bit on my dresser, and the minute hand came off. The watch was and is running. I took to a jeweler, and they informed me the movement needs to be replaced, and they cannot find it anywhere. The watch runs but when you try and adust the time the second hand gets stuck. This is model 8984.

Any ideas or is all hope lost?

Based on the instructions, you’re supposed to push the reset button, type in the new combination number followed by either letter A or B this, and then the lock is supposed to flash yellow, and then the combination is set. The batteries all died and I had to open it with the master key so I bought some all new Duracell alkaline batteries. Follow the instructions to the letter and what happens is you push the reset button it beeps and the red light comes on , and I punch in the new combination and nothing happens, the red light just stays on and I cannot create a new combo. The safe is about 15 years old and it’s a cheap model. Do you think it’s reached the end of his life?
