My laptop doesn’t have internal cooling beyond a heat sink, so the back plate gets pretty hot. My solution is to use a desk fan (the front cover broke off) I’m also using a Roku TV as a monitor (60Hz). I set up some cardboard to block light going to the door.

For peripherals, I’ve got a Redragon keyboard and mouse. I keep my phone positioned between my feet at a decent viewing angle. And finally, I’ve got a one-gallon jug of water that I drink from.
