Hi! I’ve recently started exploring makeup in a more creative way and giving myself permission to experiment with bold, unconventional looks — something I probably wouldn’t have tried before. I’m 34 and this has honestly been a really fun way to reconnect with a more expressive side of myself.

These are a few looks I tried in one session. I’ve been especially drawn to strong contrast, deeper outer corners, and more graphic placement rather than soft, all-over color. I noticed that the blue/yellow and the red/black combinations worked best for me in terms of structure and making my eyes stand out, while the pink/turquoise one didn’t quite hit the same — I think I lost some depth and direction there.

Technically, I’ve been focusing on:

– building depth in the outer corner

– balancing inner corner brightness without flattening the eye

– improving blending between darker and more vibrant shades

I didn’t do a full face since I was testing multiple looks, so this is mostly eyes + lips.

I’m still experimenting, but I’d love any thoughts — especially around color combinations, placement, or ways to keep bold looks structured without losing that artistic feel.
