Wondering where in the HV the climate makes a noticeable shift to more cloudy, more cold, different overall weather from Westchester county? I have lived near the shoreline for several years, including in CT. It seems a bit more sunny here and it's obviously more temperate, and we love it, but we are just priced out and considering a move further north.

I'm wondering how different the weather/climate is in various spots in the HV and I couldn't find much from my searching this forum. I'm asking because we moved to central Jersey for a year and the climate was dramatically different despite only having moved about 1.5 hours from our former location on the shoreline.
