My dad just passed and didn’t leave a password for his Linux laptop. My mom opened it, and it seems like it was still logged in, but she knows he had used a password login. I have only ever used MS products.

How do we change or get rid of any password tied to his login? I think he was the main admin account which I think can make a difference? We want to be sure that we don’t get locked out because he had information and files tucked away everywhere.
