I Made an ESP32 Based Curtain Opener that works with Home Assistant
This is my project, and sharing the video I made to doccument my 6 month+ long journey.
Why I made this:
I wanted to automate my roller blind curtains with home assistant, but existing products either used cloud control or an external hub (like Aquara), so I set out on a mission to build my own.
What I intitially thought would be a weekend project, quickly turned into full product development.
