I recently got a quote from a local dealer (Bray & Scarff) for Omega cabinets and wanted to sanity check.

Layout is fairly simple:

Mostly base cabinets (no uppers):

  1. island (about 18” + 36” drawer+ 18”), 12” depth at back

  2. 36” rangetop with a drawer base below

3.Farmhouse sink (32.5”)

  1. 2 pull-out next to rangetop

  2. Corner cabinet with lazy Susan.

  3. 1 fridge cabinet + 1 oven/microwave tall cabinet

So overall, not a lot of drawers or fancy features — mostly standard door cabinets.

Quote came in at ~$45k for:

Maple

Full overlay (framed)

They said I can upgrade to inset for free

Paint also included

They also mentioned frameless would be about the same price.

My question:

If they’re offering “free inset upgrade,” does that usually mean the base price is already inflated?

In other words, is there likely still room to negotiate down if I don’t even need inset and just want a simpler, lower-cost setup?

I was originally hoping to land somewhere in the $30k–$35k range.
