Questions about Branching & Active Duty or NG (ECP Edition)
For ECP cadets, we are given the unique opportunity to immediately take a position of any branch in the National Guard (of a state) as long as that position is available. However, I do have difficulty in picking a career.
I currently have a 4.0 GPA in both Academics and ROTC but low AFT score (429), top 10 in OML and top 10% in academics. I used to study IT and have IT certificates but the issue is that I find IT to be incredibly stressful compared to ROTC activities. I am a polyglot and currently interested in Criminal Justice/History.
What positions do MI, Signal, and Logistics officers take? Career Path? What happens if I don't get a PL position?
Should I revoke my GRFD and compete for Active Duty? How Competitive?
Note: I wish to stay in the Army as long as possible until I am forced to retire.
