So, I don't have a formal diagnosis. I went gluten-free months before doing the tests (because I'm a dummy and the doctor didn't explain it to me) and when I tried to reintroduced it it was too painful, and in the meanwhile I got a viral infection that caused me intense nausea, so I lost a lot of weight (in reality only like 4kg but I was already underweight to begin with) and my gastro said he could not make me do the gluten challenge because it was too dangerous in that state so I would have a formal diagnosis of gluten intollerance, but I should live as if I had celiac.

Anyway, I do say that I have celiac disease, and I think I do have it, but sometimes I feel like I don't have that right, and I'm just appropriating the diagnosis.

What I had from a diagnostic pov is extremely low vit D (at times lower than what could be detected) and low ferritin that would not get corrected with long-term supplementation, malabsorbtion with clusters of lymphnodes in the intestines diagnosed through ultrasound, chronic abdominal pain and swelling, osteoponia (I'm late 20s), fatigue, neurological issues (brain fog, paresthesia), joint pain, acid reflux, persistent acne and other skin issues consistent with malabsobtion, and the abnormal BM that is expected with malabsorption.

I've been on a gluten-free diet since last summer, but intestinal-wise things have normalized only in the late autumn. Most of those issues have resolved, or at least they have lessened a lot to the degree I guess they don't bother me anymore (although I have to say that as I heal I notice things that I thought were normal at this point, go away). I don't have nutrient deficiencies anymore, and I've gained a bit of weight even while eating like 1/4 of what I used to. Some stuff connected with low bone density is gonna stay, though, I suppose.

Since getting better I also became extremely sensitive to glutenings, so even very small traces make me sick for days and I look six months pregnant lol.

Anyway, would you consider yourself to have celiac in my place? Would you be bothered if you knew someone who is in my situation and they said they have celiac?
