Question About Using Delta eCredits After Leaving Employer
Hello,
I am hoping to get some clarity on a couple of Delta eCredits that are still showing in my account from a previous employer. I earned these while working in a role that required frequent travel. Here is some background on how our tickets were booked and managed:
- I booked my own flights through Concur under my name and never needed to speak with an agent.
- After booking, I had full control of the reservation in the Delta app, and we kept all miles and rewards associated with the flights.
- If I needed to change or cancel a ticket, I would go through Concur. For ticket changes, the company paid the fare difference if a new date was needed. For cancellations, the eCredit would remain in my Concur profile, and we were expected to contact a Concur agent to apply it toward a future flight rather than booking normally ourselves.
I left the company at the start of the year and still have two eCredits visible in my Delta account. One expires this summer, and the other expires this winter. The first was simply never reapplied during the many flights I took before leaving the company, and the second came from a trip that had been booked shortly before I left. If memory serves me right, I believe I expensed both tickets before the end of 2025 to account for all company spending before the start of the new year.
The screenshots attached to this post show how the eCredits appear in both my browser and the Delta app. There are no warnings indicating that I must contact a third party to use them. I have also gone through the booking process as a test and have been able to get all the way to the final payment confirmation screen without any issues.
My question is whether I can use these eCredits directly through Delta without Concur or my former employer being notified that they were used.
