Seeking advice on piece - “Aria of the soul” from Persona 3/4/5
Hi, for context I played for 4 years as a child (from 7 to 11/12 yro) and its been a little more than a year that i started taking lessons again from the same teacher i used to go as a child. 1 year in i’m currently practicing hanon (with supervision from my teacher), finished my first book (Beyer with 100+ exercises + 1oct scales in both directions) and i’m currently practicing 2 octaves scales and will soon begin a czerny book. all of this to say that the 6th of june i will play at a “mini-concert” organized by the music school to give an opportunity to students to play in front of an audience. I already did this as a child but many years have passed and I’m not sure how this will go.
All of this to say that i was wondering if i could receive any advice from you guys who are at a more advanced level than I… this is a piece that i really wanted to learn and i learned it all by myself via youtube in my free time, and i’m confident it’s above my current level.. hence why i really wanted some external feedback to not get bad habits from this.
One thing that i’m sure is terrible is that i abuse the sustain pedal for literally everything and this will damage me in the long run. also probably for a lot of parts i have weird finger placement and rotations.
