Finally decided to share my current base project in Windrose!
I’ve been slowly building this solo pirate harbor/town inspired by Spanish colonial and Caribbean-style architecture mixed with a few pirate settlement ideas I came up with while expanding the island. I’m not trying to make it historically accurate or anything — I just used those styles as inspiration because I really love the atmosphere they create.
I wanted the place to feel like a small coastal colony hidden somewhere far away in the ocean, with docks, marketplaces, tavern-like buildings, and a lived-in pirate harbor vibe.
The project is still heavily work in progress since I still don’t have every decoration and building piece unlocked yet, but my long-term goal is to slowly turn this into a much bigger village/city over time.
I play completely solo, and honestly, building is what keeps me hooked on the game. Exploring is fun, but coming back home and expanding the settlement little by little has become my favorite part of Windrose.
Also sorry for the small stutters/freezes during the video tour — recording the game hit my PC harder than I expected 😅
