First EV, likely going to lease it but exploring all my options.
I currently have a 2020 Mitsubishi ASX. Done wonders for me. I like the size and drive of it. I’ve recently seen reviews on the Jaecoo J5 and it seems to meet most of my needs (booking a test drive this week) however, I’m in a regional city, about 1-2 hours from a capital city and I won’t lie, range anxiety is my main concern so I’m hoping for some pointers on best managing it.
My driving is mainly short trips around town, with the once/twice monthly visits to my parents (round trip about 170km). With the sporadic random trip to *somewhere*.
Do you plug it in every night at home? Is it worth it? I rent, so I would be relying on the grid and only using a regular socket.
Or just do commercial charging when required? I have been looking through PlugShare and I have some 50-100kW chargers in the middle of town.
Also, interested in people’s opinion on the J5.
