Is this seriously allowed!?
Is it just me, or are these trucks getting completely out of hand?
Every day there’s one driving slowly through residential streets blasting the horn at insane volume like it’s an emergency vehicle. Not a quick beep. Not a normal warning horn. Just constant, aggressive honking through narrow neighbourhood roads where people are working from home, babies are sleeping, elderly people are resting, and everyone else is just trying to exist in peace.
I understand they’re providing some service and people need gas cylinders delivered. Fine. But surely in 2026 we don’t need a truck screaming through the street like a medieval town crier on wheels. Use WhatsApp orders, scheduled deliveries, a bell, an app, literally anything other than deafening the entire neighbourhood every time you pass.
The worst part is that it’s not even one short visit. They circle around, stop, start, honk again, move 20 metres, honk again. It’s like forced noise pollution with zero consideration for residents.
Is there actually any rule against this in Malta, or do we just accept that residential streets can be turned into a mobile foghorn route whenever someone is selling cylinders?
