Rewards Amex upgrade to where now?
Question, I have the Rewards cards after downgrading from gold and being messed around by CS and missing my welcome bonus. I've had it for 2 years and a bit now and collected 19k points ( not a lot but hey).
I also have the BAPP card which I've been using and currently on 94k avios points (transferred from rewards the 19k). This is my day to day card and use it for everything. I'd like to get more points.
I've called up and spoke to CS about upgrading and I've been offered the Platinum with 50k points if I spend £6k in 3 months but I don't really see the point, since I use the BAPP but want to get more points. Should I cancel my Rewards and wait for the opportunity to get gold again or is it a better way around it.
The points I've accumulated overall am looking to book flight next year to go China and I'm also 4k away from companion voucher. Unfortunately I'm single so not sure who to take with me abroad lol.
Any suggestions?
