Has anyone ever had a verbal offer retracted? I accepted a verbal offer for a trust grade role a few days ago from the consultant but haven’t had any updates since. I’ve now got an interview offer for another role in the same hospital but different department. I feel like it’s a bad look if I accept the 2nd interview but I’m also worried things will fall through with the original job.

Just wondering if anyone has experienced similar things? (This is my first NHS role so I’m not sure what the usual process is).
